With a strong prediction of a northerly flow and the chance to kite Mount Haggin one last time, we headed west from Bozeman to see if we could get a session in at our favorite Wildlife Management Area. While fresh snow was lacking – conditions were more dust on krust – the sun did soften things up into a corny surface and the wind did blow – it’s usual SW direction.
Haggin had melted out about 30% and most all the S facing were history. However, that still left lots of choices and we used the sleds to make time to the choicest slopes.
If you’re interested in kiting Haggin this year you’d better go soon as it’s definitely in Spring meltdown.
In the meantime, see ya out there,
Noah
