It's good to hear that more people are getting interested in this. I have yet to hang with a large group of kiters... My friend with the cabin is on vacation so I won't know about this til next week. The weekend after would work better for me cause Memorial weekend is usually set aside for more family like activities. We've got 7 weeks to put this together. By this time next week I'd like to see us have a firm plan.

I checked my calander and Memorial Day weekend this year is May 24 - 26. So the weekend after is May 31st and June 1st. Is that weekend (last day of May and the first of June) going to work?

Either the last weekend in May or the first weekend in June work for me.

I like to stand as close to the edge as I can, because from there you can see all the things you cant from the center.

Sorry guys but the deluxe lodging is already spoken for. I think that camping in the rock creek area would be best.

Thanks for checking into that Windgumby. I would be willing to confirm camp space at the Rock Creek site if I can get some commitments for how many spaces to reserve. I think they have both group & individual sites at that campground. I'm going down that weekend regardless - unless - they can't open the highway for too much snow. Hopefully since its the weekend after Mem. Day it won't be an issue

A little further update from the checking I've been doing on the campsites. There are plenty of spaces reserveable at the Hunter Peak campsite on the Wyoming side. The Rock Creek site on the MT side shows nothing available for the weekend of May 30th - June 1st. I don't know if this is because they don't reserve due to unknown conditions for those dates or if its all full. I need to call. Otherwise if everyone is ok with the Hunter Peak area we can lock that in. What do you think???

Here's a link to the videos of the progress on road clearing up on Beartooth Pass. Gives a pretty good perspective of snow conditions - updated almost daily

Ok so i haven't gotten much feedback on the last post so I did some checking & found this campsite. Allows 24 people in a group setup. $50 / night - so if we get say 10 people to show up that's only $10/person for the weekend. BYOTent. I'm sure if 30 people show up we aren't going to throw anyone out & that's like $3/person for the weekend. :drinks:

Here's the description details on the campsite.

I went ahead & reserved the site so I know I'm going to be there. May 30 - June 1st.
