Hello all,
I am new here and would like to ask you for an advice. I have an offer for Cabrinha Crossbow 11m 2009 complete for 350Eur approximately 480$. Want to use it for me to learn kiting. Seems to me as used in Kiting school and has one professional repair from accident on wire fence, the bladders are completely changed, new. The black parts on edges see example picture: http://www.bigwinds.com/images/produ...ssbowids-l.jpg are quite worn-out and it has bright color from the sun, but material seems to be still ok except the edges part. Do you think that this kite is worth this money? Or how much should I offer? Thank you very much. |

facko,
The crossbow is a decent kite. We used Cabrinha's as lesson kites over in the outer banks. The problem with the '09 Cabrinha's though is that they did something with the material in '09 and they fade and blow out easier than normal. We had several blow apart from just small crashes on the water. We were told that this issue has been taken care of for the 2010's but the '09's have this problem. The Cabrinha's are a slower moving kite than many others even their higher aspect kites, which makes them easier for beginners to use. They power loop really slow though so if you need a fast moving kite they aren't the way to go. The relaunch on them though is absolutely amazing. Just let go of the bar and it will move into the launch position all on it's own. I hope this helps you out. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me at anytime.
