I found this forum through nwkite too.

I've added a link on my site (check sig), and also posted a thread about this forum on Powerkite forum :D

Hitting the coast in a few moments- whoo-hoo

Maybe we could have the more experienced kiters on the board write up detailed posts/guides that can/will be used as a reference that people will refer/link to from other sites.

For instance we could have a sticky that includes all the best weather links and a detailed guide on how to read advanced weather charts and isobars. I think we have this thread already started...

We could start a post that contains all the best places to ride all across the United States.

We could maybe write up a very detailed / non-biased guide on Foil kites vs. LEI

A detailed FAQ post that describes the most common newbie questions on kiting. We could start this thread by simply compiling a list of common questions that some of the kite companies on here get from new kiters.

Once the guides are polished up a bit we could post links to the guides on other sites and forums. This would convey that we have a very knowledgeable group of kiters that are willing to help people out and discuss kites.

What do you guys think? Any other ideas for guides that you can come up with? :)

That would be great TT i don't wanna look like a menace to other boards just let them know about the US kite forum community. I really wanna tailor everyone in the country to a group of kiters that look out for each other. Help the newcomers on skills and really talk about what kiting is and where the best and safe places to do it are. I can't wait to talk to as many people that are as enthusiastic about kiting as we all are.
I love the wind and I love getting HIGH on air.

I really enjoy this forum and want to see it grow. However, I really want to keep its same feel. Friendly - helpful - full of cool guys that are laid back and just want to kite.

I've seen a lot of forums that will be really cool and grow slowly, slowly, and then all of a sudden it hits critical mass and the freaking forum explodes!! Which is cool in one hand because its a very popular forum. But it can also suck because all of the new people all at once can loose the forum's original feeling.

Just my two cents. I really want to keep this site flamer free - helpful and friendly.
Just Give me some wind!!
