I have not gotten to try landboarding yet, I have gone skittering on land if that counts! Thankfully it was not with a SLE or big kite, only the trainer. Of course I deserved it for flying a trainer in 40plus MPH wind!!!!

I think landboarding would be a blast, but I would imagine full protective gear is a good idea. I have taken enough hard falls mountain biking, skateboarding, snowboarding to appreciate the effectiveness of good pads and a full face helmet

Yeah ,Pads are def a requirement . It's not the speed that hurts it's the sudden stop. Buggying is a blast,safer than land boarding.But I have flipped the buggy too! Helmet always on, and knee pads at a minimum
