Wyoming Windgumby

Postby Windgumby on Thu Nov 15, 2007 1:36 pm

Hey wind addicts, thought I'd introduce myself to this forum.. I'm also posting @ kiteform.com and montanakitesports.com. I've been training with a Best 3m with my skateboard for three months, have bought two used kites on ebay (Naish Exlorer 6m, Peterlynn 4.2 C-quad) and have had three sessions on the snow in the Bighorn Mtns. I was fortunate to hook up with the local Ozone dealer (Jim), the US Ozone distributers (Brain and Heather), some Montana and Colorado hard-cores (Noah and Patrick) and several other gumby's like myself. I flew three of Jim's demo kites and bought a 10m Frenzy several days later.

My local hot-spot (Bighorn Mtns) will be gated and shut down (Hwy 14A) on Monday the 19th.  :( There are many other areas close by so I'm not too concerned.

LET IT SNOW!

Welcome to the forum windgumby. Hows the kiting where you live? I've been monitoring a wind pattern that follows close to the rockies that produce insane winds down through wyoming. I'm heading to haggin in the morning for a status report. Its kinda warming up right now but its supposed to start snowing again starting tomorrow through the weekend.
I love the wind and I love getting HIGH on air.

Whats up Wyo Windgumby? Where abouts in Wyoming is it you live? Is that in NW wyoming Im assuming. Welcome to the forums.
I like to stand as close to the edge as I can, because from there you can see all the things you cant from the center.

Thanks for the welcome y'all. Gotta hit the Bighorns this weekend before I have to break out the sleds. Hope to see more kites up there! Come one, come all.
