hey everybody. im glad i found this forum. i have recently become very interested in windsports and have been looking for more information on purchasing a kitewing. i have visited various websites such as kitewing.com and sportsheaven.com and am shocked at the prices. i cant afford upwards of a thousand dollars when just starting a new sport. can anybody recommend me to any sites with affordable kitewings. i have looked and there is only a single kitewing on ebay and nothing on amazon.com. im preferablally looking for one in the range of $400 - $800 and likely used. any input would be greatly appriciated.

You will be hard pressed to find one for less than $600, unless you don't care what kind of shape its in, most people selling them have gone to great lengths to buy one and all find the same thing, Kitewings are pricey. which kind of goes against a wind enthusiast's philosophy, but you get what you pay for, so expect to pay a few bucks. i would be skeptical of anything too cheap.


I owned one for a couple of winters and used them with Ice skates. I lucked out and found someone that wanted to trade for a kite, I didn't know much about kitewings then and he didn't know much about kites but we were both curious and made the deal and i'd say i came out on top becasue the kitewing held its value way longer than the kite.
