Best wind anywhere in the world.

Ok, Here is a question. What is good for Kitesurfing in the world right now? AM I wrong to think this is the time of year for kiting near the equator right now?

Its a Hypothetical, but if I had the money to go anywhere to surf, what would be good right now? :?: :?:

I can tell you where its not, the frickin silver valley of ID!! :wallbash: I know a lot of people seem to head down to LaVentena this time of year and they seem to say many good things about it. Prbly on the lower end of the hypothetical endless budget tho. OT: I leave for 5 days to Vegas and come back and youve got me smoked on posts? WTF? I need a laptop!!
I like to stand as close to the edge as I can, because from there you can see all the things you cant from the center.

Cozumel maybe? South padre? any coastal areas with wind. I think some seasons are just starting. I think fiji is the next place there is a kite resort thats trying to get started and i think the season is on right now. Wish i could go anywhere tropical that would be my choice.
I love the wind and I love getting HIGH on air.

I would add South Padre Island, TX for domestic destinations in November.

Have been down here since the beginning of the month and will be through first of Dec. Windy most days since we've been here and in mid 70-80's both air and water temps!!! On the days between wind (normal SE prevailing winds and NE fronts) the surf has been great!!

We did the same thing last spring... looking for desitnations for April and decided on SPI, as it was one of the only US/domestic destinations.

April and Nov are the off seasons down here.. meaning many many cheap lodging options, eating etc.

Check this page everyday to see what the weather is like... http://www.spadre.com/surfcam.htm

Cheers!
