:o :o :o :o :o I will take that warning seriously. Thanks
I like to stand as close to the edge as I can, because from there you can see all the things you cant from the center.

GOLF BALL KITE STAKES ARE A LENGTH OF 1/4" STAINLESS STEEL ROUND STOCK SAY 18" WITH A GOLF BALL ON ONE END. YOU USE THEM TO STAKE LINES DOWN TO SAND AT BEACH . I HAVE A SCABBARD THAT HOLDS 2. THE PIC OF MY LEG WAS TAKEN THE NEXT DAY.THREE DAYS LATER IT WENT ALL THE WAY AROUND MY THIGH ALL THE WAY TO MY KNEE! THE DAY AFTER IT HAPPENED I WAS RIDING AGAIN.( BETTER LIVING THROUGH CHEMISTRY)LOL I AM THINKING ABOUT WAYS TO PUT ONE SMALLER ONE ON BOTTOM OF BOARD.SINCE I DON'T HAVE ANYBODY TO RIDE WITH I HAVE TO KEEP A STAKE HANDY FOR EMERGENCIES( KITE CRASH IN WATER, OR ON THE BEACH IN RAGING WINDS!) YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN! ANYWAY I GOT ALL BETTER ."PAIN IS WEAKNESS LEAVING THE BODY." _ weldngod

whoa what why were you carrying these contraptions on you while riding? I've had a leash on while riding and I can relate to your injury falling over and landing on top of it. The golf stakes look flat out dangerous. What kinda of kite are you flying? oh man that is painful and at 30mph thats like getting tagged in the leg by a golfer. if one of those spikes stabbed in that would leave you layed up for some time. Be careful

Have you ever seen demolition man "what are the 3 sea shells" ever wondered really how they use them. I guess what i'm trying to say is how do you use these things. I've used ice screws put the kite totally dead and hooked up the chicken loop and walked of but only needed one. I'm curious now how the golf ball stakes work seriously.

I FLY FLEXIFOIL RAGES ON FOUR LINE HANDLES . THERE IS A LOOP ON THE BRAKE LINES THAT YOU STAKE TO THE SAND,EFFECTIVELY MAKING THE KITE WANT TO FLY IN REVERSE. MAKING IT SIT ON BEACH. I PUT SOME SAND ON THE TRAILING EDGE TO ENSURE IT STAYS PUT. LIKE THIS, BUT THIS WAS A DIFFERENT STAKE. DAMN! wait I forgot typing in all caps is shouting. ( someone pointed this out to me, i didn't know , just thought it looked better!lol ). Any way , I needed the stakes in case i encountered trouble. As I have nobody else that rides aboard or buggy. I'm IT!!! I don't carry them any more, I wrap the brake line around the axle of board . Then run over and sand kites trailing edge. And yeah in the back of my mind i worried about being skewered, but then I took a piece of thick polyester load binding strap and made a sheath.(pretty sure they couldn't poke through it.) see pics in earlier post.

Ahh Haa Now i'm getting it. Sorry I really don't have any experience with handle kites so i was really confused on what you were up too. So in the handle kites if i'm not mistaken there is no real depower its like a wrist leash thing thus the need for the stakes while you get ready. I know sometimes in the summer i hook up a board leash to my harness and i've fallen on it before on land and boy i can see were you could get some nasty bruises especially when speed and bodies flying.

I'm trying to think I wonder if there was some sort of and easy like hardware setup you could put on your board and maybe have enough room to hold them on the ends or sides of the board.
I love the wind and I love getting HIGH on air.
