Playing With Wheels

Anyone tried different wheels on a landboard than the stock 1's? I put some hard rubber 10" wheels on mine - to try today for riding hay fields & rougher terrain where the stock wheels get stuck on larger sod clumps. Initial field trials in the yard worked fine. They're heavy so I know once I get into boosting & really tearing it up they won't be good but I'm wondering if anyone has tried other wheels & where you got them....these things just came from the local farm store & needed a bushing to fit the axles snugly.

I know exactly what you're talking about. Unfortunately the farm tires use steel for rims which adds a ton of weight. I think anything over say 15 pounds will dramatically reduce performance. I'm not sure put maybe go-kart rims or anything that uses aluminum as a hub should be used if possible. The other problem that ive noticed is the ply rating of the tires. They don't last long on a hayfield the stubble are like porcupines popping tires constantly. This is a wonderful topic and i'm glad you're checking it out. :D
I love the wind and I love getting HIGH on air.
