This will hopefully be the ultimate guide for places to ride in various states across the United States. Help me fill in places to ride in your state! You can use Google Earth to find the location and link it to Google Maps for people that want directions to it. Just reply in this post and I will add them to the list. If you are not sure about the exact location just say the name of the area and we will find it eventually. Ferry access from Honeymoon Island
To reach the ferry dock on Honeymoon Island, take US Highway 19A(Alternate 19) from Dunedin to Curlew Road (Florida Highway 586). Follow signs to the park. There is plenty of space on the ferry boat for your gear, coolers and anything else you may want to bring.

East Beach : Latitude: 27.6361
Longitude: -82.6995
Shallow water for a couple hundred yards out so it is very flat. Best at Mid to high-tide. At low tide you'll be riding in 3` of water or a dry bed of grass and muck. Beginner to advanced area. Make sure to check the tides if you are going to be riding at East Beach here as the water level goes down too low at East Beach during low tide. Wearing shoes is helpful.
The strong winds come in the winter and are frontal, so not really predictable. A nice seabreeze comes in during the spring and fall, but summer has very light winds. This is one of the most popular riding spots in the area for NE, E, SE and S winds.
Big Beach : Latitude: 27.6256
Longitude: -82.7378
Tends to get choppy and disorganized on SW winds. The north end near the point is shallow. The south end closer to the pier is deeper with strong currents. The middle of the cove is great. Stay away from the pier due to biggers fishes. Beginner to advanced area.
The strong winds come in the winter and are frontal, so not really predictable. A nice seabreeze comes in during the spring and fall, but summer has very light winds. Best on NW and SW winds.
Be respectful to tourists on the beach if the seasons overlap, but usually winter is kiting season and the beaches aren't very full. The beaches can get really crowed with sunbathers and swimmers during the spring and summer months. Avoid Mid-day on sunny weekends. After 5 pm the crowds are mostly gone. Watch out for stone crap traps, your lines can get tangled in the buoys.
North Beach : Latitude: 27.6464
Longitude: -82.7439
Usually small waves (2 to 3 feet), some areas are very shallow so you can get flat water and some small surf at the same time. DO NOT RIDE at north beach unless you are an advanced level rider. The inlet can get busy with boat traffic and bull sharks. For experienced riders only!
